One day it'll make all sense...
~Kalalika:iconKalalika: Feb 23, 2008, 1:07:55 PM
Care to explain?

For me, there's tons of photography, most of it is just snapshots of people, places and things, with minimal artful intentions, or just a poor execution.
Art is tasteful and requires attention, sculptures, paintings, architecture etc... everything but music and photography falls into this category.
Art photography is above and beyond the average photo and is usually rather abstract. It takes the normal to the abnormal and shows it in a way we cannot see without a camera and artistic expression.
[link] Is IMO one of the few people who has achieved the level of art photography.

There is a big difference between photography, art and art photography.

Thanks! I like to try new things and hope I never get stuck into just 1 kind of photography, seems very limiting.

I think I like b&w film the best... still experimenting with film speeds/brands.

I started on film, but with some old camera.. My problem was that I didn't have money for the film, I only made a few photos. But I would like to try it now if I get the chance.

Thanks, I feel it's rather modest but I'm still just a beginning beginner. I've actually recently borrowed a film SLR from a friend and am in love with the richness of film
